Professor Piero Garofalo
Piero Garofalo is Full Professor of Italian Studies in the Department of Classics, Humanities, & Italian Studies at the University of New Hampshire where he founded the Italian Studies and the UNH-in-Italy Programs. He has been a Visiting Professor at Trinity College and at Wesleyan University and served on the editorial boards of the journals Modern Italy, Quaderni d’italianistica, and The Year’s Work in Modern Language Studies. He is the recipient of numerous grants including the National Endowment for the Humanities and STARTALK grants. His research and teaching focus on modern and contemporary Italian culture, politics, and society, Italian American studies, and film studies.
